Superior hiking Trail

There is an amazing gift made of rock and dirt and boardwalk winding its way along the north shore of Lake Superior. It’s 310 miles long, accessible to anyone for free and it’s called the Superior Hiking Trail.

The wonderful people in their office asked me to illustrate four pieces for them to be used on postcards and greeting cards for hikers to collect as souvenirs or send to friends and family from hikes along the way. Each illustration is a scene from one of the four counties the trails spans through, in a different season and covering different natural beauty.

Spring waterfalls at Jay Cooke State Park among the Ladyslippers, Carlton County

Snowshoe on Silver Creek, Lake County

Summer hike around Lake Agnes where the beavers dwell, Cook County

Fall vista at Ely’s Peak, St. Louis County
